5 out of 5 stars Good crockpot   July 18, 2007
4 out of 4 found this review helpful

Unlike many of the newer crockpots this one does not burn the food. I can put my food in the crockpot in the morning and when I return from work it is done and not burned. I would recommend this crockpot for anyone. We are a two person family at this time and the crockpot is fine for our small amounts of food but will hold enough for a larger group.

5 out of 5 stars A great way to cook   July 3, 2007

I use the crockpot quite a bit, and I own 3 West Bend crockery cookers (including this model). They all work beautifully.

This is a GREAT Crock Pot and works Fabulous! It's just perfect for a family of two (2). The stone crock is a super cobalt blue color, therefore making cleaning up very easy. A definite Winner. Ue

4 out of 5 stars Review for West Bend Slow Cooker   January 4, 2007
5 out of 5 found this review helpful

After doing some research online, I decided to purchase this model based on favorable reviews. My roasts have turned out beautifully after cooking all day. I made homemade spaghetti sauce in the slow cooker for the first time and was pleasantly surprised it did not burn after cooking for several hours. Some things to note:

1. Be sure to spray interior with Pam before using OR buy Reynolds Slow Cooker liners.
2. Because the top is glass, be very careful with it! I have found the rubber gloves I use to wash dishes make it harder for me to wash the top and removable interior portion of the slow cooker(it's slippery).

All in all, this is a great slow cooker. I feel that it is reasonably priced and I even purchased one for a Christmas gift.

5 out of 5 stars Boy, that thing can cook.   December 16, 2006

This is the thing needed for a busy household. You cut up the food, put it in the cooker and turn it on. No more looking at it and you can set it for Hi and Low.
It works even better with less expensive cuts of meat, so it saves money too. I have already tried three of the recipes from the booklet that comes with the cooker and they worked out fine. I do brown the meat beforehand so that it does not look so pale (the recipe doesn't say that), but that is a personal preference.

Good buy for a good price. And very easy to clean too.
Enjoy!
