1 out of 5 stars Piece of junk juicer.   May 22, 2008

I am new to juicing wheat grass, so I decided to just go with the cheapest juicer I could find. That was a mistake.

After just one use with this Manual Wheatgrass Juicer UWJ-327 , the screw at the end of it crumbled into 2 pieces. I yelled in disbelief, What kind of quality is that? Then I read three sobering words: "Made in China".

If you want a manual wheat grass juicer, there's no way around it. You're going to have to shell out the $100 for one that will last you....at least more than one day of use.

Delivered on time. Rusted after first use even though I followed the directions of "drying all parts thouroghly after use. Takes quite a bit of grass to make and ounce. A table spoon of water helps.

1 out of 5 stars Absolutely horrible...unless you like liquid silver   December 13, 2007

When I first bought the juicer, I cleaned it with soap and water per the instructions. I put an apple in to see what would happen, and it made 1-1/2 pure apple silver juice. It must have been the rust. Then next time I washed it again, coated it with oil, I put a carrot and an apple and I got liquid silver pulp coming out. I washed it YET again then tried to put wheatgrass through it, and again silver-wheatgrass juice. If you are going to buy a wheatgrass juicer, buy an electric one, or one that is made of plastic and metal that doesn't ooze silver liquid. It was a complete waste of fifty bucks; do yourself a favor and avoid this at all costs.

1 out of 5 stars Very Unsatisfied With This Juicer   October 22, 2007

SURE, this product is one of the cheaper choices, but be aware of what happened to me. I received the juicer in the mail and followed the directions for first use (putting crackers/bread though it). I then washed the juicer and allowed it to dry. I noticed that within the juicer there were spots where the metal had rusted, and these were key places where the juice was going to strain out. I thought, "hey maybe the crackers and bread were too rough on the juicer and I just damaged it somehow", even though the instructions tell you to put bread and crackers in and grind them before first use. However, this was not the case, because I realized that the outside of the juicer had various spots that were also rusting and I had not touched the outside of the juicer. I then tried to run more crackers and bread through the juicer, which was the advice given to me by the vendor from whom I purchased the item. The rust just came back after I washed the juicer. It is possible that this dilemma is isolated to my specific juicer, but if I were you I would not take the chance. My advice would be to look for a juicer that is made out of stainless steel or some combination of metal and plastic that won't rust.
