Great performance for the price July 9, 2010 Troy Svihl (Minneapolis, MN USA) I really wanted to get one of those lever-type citrus presses you see in some high-end bars, as they seem to offer the best method of juicing large amounts of citrus. But I couldn't find one that was priced right (I found you've got to spend about $150 to get a good one). They're also pretty bulky.
So I settled for this electric juicer instead and I'm pretty satisfied with it so far. I've used it to juice a ton of limes and a few oranges as well and it works great for both. Seems to have a pretty good amount of power to the motor. It seems like a pretty well designed machine.
It's got a little recess around the base where you can wrap the cord during storage, which I thought was a nice feature (why don't all kitchen appliances have that?). It's got two different sizes of juicing cones, so you can change them out depending on if you're juicing big citrus or small. The cover and juicing cones all nest together, which is another nice feature that makes it much easier to store.
I would definitely buy again.
Love This, Convenient To Use, Easy To Clean June 30, 2010 K. Johnson (Seattle, Wa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Love it, no longer a hassle to make fresh lemonade or orange juice. I just quickly halve my fruit on a small cutting board, and can very quickly get the juice out with this juicer. I keep it on the counter all the time. It cleans up very easily if you rinse the parts off immediately after use. Very pleased with my purhcase.
Little Workhorse June 21, 2010 M. Cogan (Portland, Oregon) I love this juicer. I make juice in a law office daily and it is so quick, simple and easy on the clean-up, I'm glad I tried it despite some of the reviewer complaints regarding the loudness. It's very efficient and I'd buy it again. It does everything I expect a juicer to do for $40 and frankly, I wish my fancy home juicer was as simple, quiet and easy on the budget. Sure, a baby won't be able to sleep to this in your kitchen, but it is very moderate on the noise and if the door is closed, there is absolutely no disturbance to neighboring rooms. It was even mistakenly left dirty over the weekend and hot soapy water still got everything squared away in a few minutes. That's a workhorse. J'adore! ---and even though you're not supposed to, the removable parts will survive a dishwasher run intact.
It speaks softly, but carries a BIG stick! June 20, 2010 M&PK (GA United States) Powerful, quiet, easy to use, easy to clean. What's not to like? The tribest citrus juicer will juice the dickens out of lemons, oranges, etc. It'll strip all the pulp from the peel. No seeds descend into the juice. There's a nice spigot that flips up to stop the flow of juice.
It really is quiet! We use it to get the pulp and juice from fruit for making smoothes without getting seeds in the blender.
Bad warranty June 15, 2010 Internet grandma (Galt, California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this item a couple of months ago, but used it the first time last week. The juicer worked o.k. and I'm hoping it will last.
However, I would NEVER buy another item from Tribest. According to the operation manual, the product has no warranty unless you return the card within 10 days. In California, the law states that warranties must be honored even if you do not return the card. In fact, there is supposed to be a notice on the card that it is a registration card and that failure to return the card does not diminish the warranty rights.
Besides, with this attitude, who wants to do business with this company?
