Product Description Let's say your children are lobbying for chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, but you're dying for a light refreshing citrus sorbet. Or your spouse has an unexplained passion for rum raisin that you simply don't share. No longer must you argue, draw straws, or settle for something you don't like. Cuisinart has come up with this clever machine that allows you to make two different batches simultaneously, or make one small batch, or make two batches of everyone's favorite. Use it to make ice cream, sorbets, frozen yogurt and frozen drinks. Easy to clean and operate, and as long as you keep the bowls in the freezer, you can be enjoying a cold, creamy confection in as little as 20 minutes!

Creative and Yummy Fun July 14, 2010 Donna Frank 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this ice cream maker for my daughter's 9th birthday, along with the Ben & Jerry's ice cream recipe book. I wasn't sure if it was a dumb gift for such a young girl, but she was thrilled.
She's very creative so I let her decide the first two flavors that we should try. Her picks? #1 Banana Goodbar (her favorite candybar is Mr. Goodbar, so we got creative and put crushed candybar, mashed banana, and a touch of lemon juice in the standard vanilla recipe) and #2 Choke Cherry Watermelon (LOL) which turned out surprisingly good (she decided to pick choke cherries this afternoon so we added them (pitted), a bit of sugar, and small watermelon chunks to Ben & Jerry's #1 Sweet Cream Base). I seriously had my doubts about these, but it was her choice. Both turned out really good and were very easy to make.
The machine worked perfectly and was very easy to use. I especially liked that she was able to help with all the steps. It was easy to clean and the bowls are already back in the freezer for next time. It seems that we will only be limited by our own creativity. Should be lots of fun!
My one real problem? I have a belly ache from eating too much.
Very Impressed July 12, 2010 IceCreamLvr22 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After reading some of the reviews stating that the ice cream turned out like liquid instead of freezing I was worried if I had made a mistake purchasing this machine. Unfortunately our first batch turned out like a thick creamy liquid (our first recipe we tried was the premium vanilla) it froze after being put in a container in the freezer but would have been better if it had the right consistency when it was being churned. We had only put the bowls in the freezer for about 22 hours. This was not long enough, I would like to emphasize that it is very important that the bowls be well frozen before using. Last night we made the lime sherbert after the bowls had been in the freezer for a week and it turned out perfect! For those who had bad experiences I think your bowls were not frozen long enough or not thoroughly frozen. That would be the only way your ice cream would not turn out if you are following the recipe correctly. I would recommend this ice cream maker to anyone looking for a machine that makes good ice cream quickly. We'll be trying the frozen yogurt recipe next and can't wait!
So easy July 9, 2010 Bill D (cherry hill, nj United States) Once you make the mix for the ice cream your work is pretty much done. First batches were strawberry and caramel, and both came out great. If the machine is durable (and it's not as if we're making ice cream every week), this will have been an excellent buy.
I RATE IT ZERO! May 31, 2010 Lady (NY) 5 out of 31 found this review helpful
Reply to the comment posted by J.Sanders. This comment is TOTALLY TRUE AND HONEST. I had exactly the same experience, and when I bought mine from Chef Central it was on promotion for $45. I was SO excited to make ice cream. I made Cookies and Cream, Cottage Cheese Ice Cream and Rose (Yes, Rose essence) ice cream. I have incredible gourmet recipes. But the results were appaling. I had exactly the same experience. Even more. My husband decided to put the whole machine in the freezer (I know a brand like that) passing the wire thru the door. I turned on my spare freezer just for that. And you know what? Mushy ice cream! It took me the whole day after trying many ways, like refreezing the bowls. At the end of the day I was frustrated and disappointed, so I washed and packed everything for return. We learn by mistakes. WON'T BUY anything cheap that is made in China EVER AGAIN!!! SHAME ON YOU CUISINART!!! Regardless of the thousands of positive reviews here, they are fake. Unless they don't know for sure what a good ice cream looks like or they are ALL from people of CUISINART. They surely have so many computers, they can write loads of good reviews creating new accounts. People, always read the negative reviews. If they are not too bad, then buy it. Otherwise keep away. This is my advice. I write honestly and am not doing a campaign against Cuisinart, just tired of being mislead by companies. Time to expose then. For a better USA!
I love it! May 14, 2010 bekki (NC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this machine! It's perfect because of the flexibility; if I want a lot of one flavor I can use both bowls for the same kind or I can easily make two different kinds. Since I don't do dairy products this has saved me so much money and hassle in avoiding the dreaded $6+ a pint non-dairy ice creams.
My only complaint about this ice cream maker is not having gotten it sooner!
