Product Description 7-Cup Food Processor, Lexan Work Bowl. Extra Large Feed Tube Slices Whole Fruits & Vegetables, 1 Piece Cuisinart Supreme Feed Tube, 4MM Stainless Steel Medium Slicing Disc, Stainless Steel Shredding Disc, Chopping Blade, Detachable Disc Stem, Spatula, Recipe/Instruction Book, How To Video, Full 10 Year Motor Warranty, Limited 3 Year Warranty On Entire Unit.
Amazon.com Review Equipped with an extra-large feed tube, a small feed tube, a dough blade, and slicing and shredding discs, this 600-watt, 7-cup, midsize food processor provides all the power, versatility, and capacity needed by most households. Cooks experienced with Cuisinart food processors will welcome the new feed tube and pusher assembly, which are easy to use--at 4-1/4 inches by 2-3/4 inches, the large, oval feed tube accommodates whole fruits and vegetables. The small, cylindrical tube is located inside the pusher assembly and has its own hollow pusher, which removes with a twist. On the bottom of the small pusher is a pin-hole for dribbling oil into the bowl while making mayonnaise. The Lexan work bowl is virtually shatterproof and impervious to heat or cold. There's the familiar stainless-steel chopping blade and a dough blade, which easily kneads up to 1-1/2 pounds of dough. Stainless-steel slicing and shredding discs, a plastic spatula shaped for the work bowl, a recipe booklet, and an instruction video showing basic use, tips and techniques, and preparation of some recipes from the booklet complete the package. (Existing Cusinart blades and discs also fit this machine.) Cuisinart warranties the motor against defects for 10 years and the remaining parts for three years. --Fred Brack

7 cup Quisinart food processor. September 5, 2008 I searched many websites for the best quality and price for a 7 cup stainless steel food processor. Not finding a stainless steel one that size, I purchased Cuisinart's white one. Great quality and function.
Great! but two things... May 21, 2008 Everything I wished for except being too hard to clean, and having only two speeds (on/off)
Few flaws~ Overall very good product March 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We've had our Cuisinart Processor for nearly 2 years, and use it about a half dozen times a day! It has worked like a champ most of the time (at times the lid latch doesn't fit in securely, and has had to be worked with in order to start the motor). It has saved us tons of time as we prepare many raw vegetable, nut, and fruit dishes, not to mention whipping up Johanna Budwig's cancer healing cottage cheese/flaxoil recipe. We also make all our own natural cat and dog food, which calls for whole eggs, shells and all, and more vegetables.
One blade just broke on the processor's chopper, and there is also a small crack on the plastic of the motor cover. But considering how much we use it, we are still greatly pleased.
The only reasons we are giving this processor 4 stars instead of 5 are: 1) The rare difficulty getting the latch top to fit correctly in order to start the motor. 2) The clear handles of the lid and mixing compartment which show up dark gunk which can't be properly cleaned out. (I have tried with all sorts of implements to scrub it out.) It makes the machine look bad, and you don't want visitors seeing it if they are going to eat your food! We want to now get a processor with a colored handle for asthetic reasons.
Lastly, a few positives I didn't mention are that this processor is easy to wipe clean with smooth buttons and contours. The white plastic isn't too attractive, in my opinion, but does stay sparkling white. There are sturdy rubbery feet that keep it from scratching countertops. It is easy to disassemble and to clean, and quick to put back together. Overall this is a great product, and would be even better with a few adjustments.
What A Deal! March 15, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Cuisinart Food Processor is excellent! The quality is great, the ease of use is wonderful and the price is awesome. I went to a few stores looking at this same item to purchase for my wife for Christmas and the price was much higher. I saved a bundle:) and with the quality of Cuisinart - my wife thinks I am a hero.
Meets all expectations March 8, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this unit to replace an old, inexpensive food processor. I have been impressed with the powerful and reasonably quiet motor and the quality of the parts. I like the fact that the cord stows away on the underside of the unit. I also like the fact that the base of the unit is smooth with no corners or cracks to get gunked up. The unit and all the parts seem quite sturdy and hopefully will last a long time. The accessory items such as the spatual are not that nice, I'm glad I didn't pay extra for them.
