This thing is a lifesaver October 30, 2008
We bought the jar opener for my mother-in-law several years ago. It recently broke and she was practically in a state of panic. She's 92 years old and this jar opened "is a real life saver". I highly recommend it -- it works!

I was so disappointed and had to buy a different type with much lower price, actually it was only $17. I should have followed and others' comments. Not easy to use.

I purchase this (in my job) for my clients who have difficulty opening jars due to physical problems. It is easy to use and having tried other products, this one seems to work the best! If you have weakness in your hands, this will make opening jars a breeze! Amazon's price is lower than what I typically pay.

I bought this item months ago and was amazed to find that it really, really does work properly. Thank goodness, I won't have to keep buying unit after unit, searching for a reliable product. This is the last one I will ever have to buy. The cradle arms are adjustable to various sizes and can handle everything I've tried -- pickle jars, jams and fruit spreads in jars, mayonnaise, spaghetti sauce, applesauce and olives, to name a few. I no longer have to wait till my husband gets off the lawn mower to come in and open a jar for me. I absolutely love it!
Disappointed April 10, 2008
I received this product and still can't figure out how to use it..no instructions and no info on how to return it. I am disgusted and isappointed.
