Product Description Made out of 18/10 stainless steel, it features a gorgeous mirror finish on the outside, and a brushed finish inside. All steel mesh plunger mechanism .
Amazon.com Review By using high-quality 18/10 stainless steel for this French press, Frieling has smartly sidestepped the problem of breakable glass carafes. At the same time, the pot is beautiful, sleek, and sturdy, with a mirror finish and a self-contained design. Plus, with no filters or power cords to mess with, you can brew and serve right at the table. The full-length handle is both comfortable and stable, while the all-steel mesh plunger mechanism can be used with coarse coffee grounds or loose tea leaves. Frieling's double-wall construction keeps hot beverages hot and cold ones cold if you use the pitcher by itself for milk or juice. All parts disassemble to wash by hand or go in the dishwasher. The press holds 33 ounces and stands 9 inches high. --Emily Bedard

Don't even hesitate December 1, 2008 LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this coffee press, and tha fact that it won't EVER require a replacement glass insert is the BEST. The coffee is delicious and not bitter, which is why I purchased a French press in the first place, but for clumsy ol' me, this is a godsend. The coffee stays hotter longer than a glass press would allow as it's insulated. LOVE it...or did I mention that already?
Stainless Steel French Press December 1, 2008 I've used glass french presses in the past, but the Stainless Steel French Press is by far a better product. It cost almost twice the price as glass, but I can tell this will be the last french press I'll ever need. The glass press is too fragile and broke after carful washing a few months later. The Stainless Steel French Press stays hotter longer and is more attractive. The glass french press looked like a chemistry beaker. The Stainless Steel French Press can set out on the counter and look great with any decor. Two thubms up!!
Fabulous! November 30, 2008 What a treasure this coffee maker has turned out to be! I'll never go back to glass again. We make creole coffee, a slow-brew, long-steeped process and this coffee press does a most delicious job. The carafe is very well insulated, keeping the brew hot for a long time. It's also quite elegant to look at and makes an appropriate statement at any dinner table. Absolutely worth the price.
good so far November 23, 2008 Nice solid construction. You expect and get good quality parts from a simple machine that does what it's intended to do, make coffee. Don't expect this thing to keep your coffee warm, though. Drink up and enjoy!
The greatest! April 27, 2008 This coffee pot is great. It is beautifully designed and is easy to clean. Just add hot water to the press to warm it first...keeps coffee hot a while longer. Sorry I didn't buy a bigger one.
