Very happy with purchase after using for a few months. September 28, 2008 Griddle does a fine job of cooking large amounts of food at one time.
Works great for browning a dozen Italian sausage links or brats on the front of the surface while peppers and onions are sauteing in the back. Just leave the food on the griddle, turn it on low and you have an easy way to serve your next family get-together or party.
Does an excellent job on breakfast food for the whole family (pancakes, French toast, hash browns, eggs, bacon and sausage). I recommend the back-splash but wish it were not so flimsy. There are hot spots though you just learn to use them to your advantage. It has its flaws, the legs don't sit perfectly flat on a surface, but the food comes out great.
I've compared every retail griddle I could find from Presto to All-Clad. Commercial griddles cost as much as a stove. For the price ($89), size, and functionality (back-splash) this was the best griddle.
Great Griddle July 7, 2008 I have tried a few of the standard brands (i.e. chinese) and they were horrible. This griddle from Broil King is awesome. Great results everytime and I use it couple days per week. Pancakes and bacon!
Great grill! June 29, 2008 Se have used one of these for years at our B&B, cooking scratch pancakes or homemade french toast several days a week for up to 30 people. Our Rival finally gave out, so we bought our second Bake King. They seem to have a better surface than the one from a couple of years ago, and nothing has stuck, it works perfectly right out of the box (after washing, of course).
Just a note - ANY grill that you can afford will have hot spots, this one (as the manual says) is a few degrees hotter on the end farthest from the middle, then the other end, and then the center. Just place your food accordingly, and all is goodness.
BroilKing Pro Gray Griddle With Stainless Handles And Backsplash - PCG-10 February 24, 2008 Have used the griddle a couple of times. It seems to work ok,but would not replace our cast iron griddle.I dont know how good the surface will last.My wife loves it so far.
A big griddle for big breakfasts! August 30, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I love mine. It's big, so be aware if you have little counter space. I've got five in my family, and this grill is big enough for bacon on one side, pancakes on the other. It's easy to clean. I've had mine over a year, and have had no problems with the finish. Yes, it does have a hot spot on the left side, but I use it to my advantage. I've had some restaurant experience, and our flat tops were almost always at different temps. Something cooking too fast? Move it over! Put those sausages on the right, as it's a little cooler, and they take longer to cook.
I have had one problem: my probe thermostat went. I called the company, they took the date code off the unit (it was a gift from my Amazon wish list!), and sent a new probe out. The warranty was 30 months! Nice.
I say, if you're a heavy duty griddle user like I am, this is the TANK of the griddle world!
