A roomy 2-in-1 tool, this Cuisinart grill-griddle combo lets you cook blueberry pancakes for breakfast and rosemary chicken breasts for dinner with a simple flip of its cooking surface. Coated with nonstick for less fat in cooking and easier cleanup, the cooking plate features one smooth side and one ribbed side. In either configuration, excess grease and fat runs off through slits in one end to the drip tray below. Measuring 18-1/2 by 11 inches, the grill surface accommodates enough food for the whole family or cooks several different dishes at once. Streamlined yet substantial, the base combines a stainless-steel frame with plastic legs, making it stable yet manageable in weight. The temperature control probe inserts simply in one end, and an indicator light signals when the surface has achieved the desired heat. Cleanup is made easier on this model by an immersible cooking plate and dishwasher-safe drip pan and scraping tool. Altogether, the grill measures 24-1/2 by 12 by 5 inches. Super purchase, we are very impressed with it. We bought this for Sunday morning pancakes, so we could all sit together and have hot pancakes...works great. Super easy to clean, looks nice. Well worth the money. :)

Based on the other reviews I purchased this product. Unfortunately the product did not work out of the box. I initially tried to work with Cuisinart Customer Service but have found them to be incredibly RUDE. Cuisinart wanted me to pay shipping and handling (as well as a ten dollar processing fee) in order to replace a defective unit that never even worked out of the box. The turn around time to replace the unit was over three weeks. I would stay away from this product!!!
Best Grill Griddle I ever had July 15, 2008
I have had quite a few electric grills and griddles in my lifetime. This one is the best of all. Great cooking, easy to clean - definitely worth the extra expense fot this unit. Sorry I did not have it years ago. It is a large unit and I have a small kitchen but because I really like to use it, I keep it on my counter top at all times. Fantastic!
