4 out of 5 stars Very Good Processor   November 12, 2008
Very good for the size and price. Sometimes a couple of larger pieces are left, but it usually works really well!

1 out of 5 stars At first it was great - then it was dead   October 28, 2008

I bought this for making baby food and for about 3-months (not a very arduous task), it was a very handy tool. Then the motor began whirring loudly and sometimes it wouldn't run at all. I thought it was user error and that I just wasn't assembling it properly. Then I didn't use it for a few months, and when I took it out, it just plain didn't work anymore.

Yes, it's not very expensive, but I would expect a Cuisinart product to have a life of more than a few months.

3 out of 5 stars Great for the price   October 27, 2008

It's a great product for the price I found it for on amazon. It is small and fits nicely in my cabinet and the cord tucks away in the underneath casing easily. I gave it 3 stars because of 2 flaws. First, it doesn't chop onions like it says it should, it chops them very uneven so that they are either mashed completely or you have huge pieces left behind. Secondly, you have to hold down on the buttons the whole time ( I would have preferred having to just press it once to turn it on and then having a separate off button). Other than that, its a great processor. It purees well and makes great chutneys, salsa, guacamole, etc. It also does a great job of powdering nuts and spices. A decent buy!

3 out of 5 stars mislead by ad...   October 26, 2008

nice product, but not what i thought it was. the description lead me to believe it was a food processor, not a food chopper. i was looking for a processor with changing blades for more uses. guess this one goes out as a christmas gift.

1 out of 5 stars It's A Joke, Right?   October 19, 2008

Can't chop anything well. [Tried onions, tomatoes, celery, olives, nuts, and many other items.] Tried 2, 4, and 8-oz loads. Tried 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 cup loads.

All you get is half mush and the other half "as is".

I think it could "mix" 1/4 cup of cooked rice with a 1/2 cup of water ... but who needs that?

This will be the last Cuisinart product I'll buy; their griddler, blender, and ice cream maker are poorly engineered too ... and I long ago stopped using them.
