Product Description Nothing is as delicious as food deep fried in the freshest of oils. Deep frying can leave a less than enjoyable aura in your kitchen however. That's where filters come in!

Great in small batches. November 21, 2008 Tonight was my first time using my new fryer and the first time ever using a fryer.
The capacity is small, so only cook for 2 - 4 people, unless you are just doing appetizers. I tried fries, then chicken, then fries again, then calamari then tortillas. Because the oil capacity is small, the oil was dirty by the time I got to the calamari.
The basket can hold four drumsticks OR two large breasts. Chicken takes almost 20 minutes, so I would do the potatoes pre-fry, remove them, cook the , remove it, then do the last potatoes fry after the chicken is done. The only negative is that the fries might taste like the chicken! No one complained of that in my house, though ~
The other thing is it seems that the basket is not meant to be removed in between batches to dump out the items. The reason I say this is I have to wiggle and fidget with the lever to get it to release the basket. Not good with boiling oil.
All in all, I really like it, I just will use it for small batches.
Great item November 16, 2008 We had a fryer that was more for one or two people that was a lot harder to clean...adventually it became slower and slower before the food was done. This product is quick and easy to clean the oil (too expensive to throw away). If you use peanut oil, there is not oil taste. All and all highly recommend.

DELONGHI DEEP FRYER ROTO FRYER-1.5lbs-EASY CLEAN
Fryer works great but not all parts where included in the box when received. Filter Screen missing. Contacted Delonghi Customer Support on June 16, 08 and was told item was put on order. Called them back on Aug 4 and wast told I should receive part in 7 to 10 days. Called them back again on Aug 22 and was told not in and that it wasn't due in as I was told. Then told me it was due in end of Aug and that I should receive filter by the middle of Sept 08. Called them again on Sept 22 and was told part not in and that there was not expected date due in. I again was told to call back mid-October to check status. GUESS I SHOULDN'T EXPECT ANYTHING BETTER SINCE THE ITEM IS NOW MADE IN CHINA. MAYBE WE SHOULD ALL BOYCOTT ITEMS MADE IN CHINA. Totally disgusting Customer Support.......
great! July 19, 2008 I've had other fryers in the past but this one is top of the line. Oil filtering system works perfect. It's very easy to use only as the other reviwers said pay attention to timer. when it goes off it doesn't mean the fryer is off. You need to do that manually. As always DeLonghi products are reliable and I would certainly purchase DeLonghi again.
Designed in Italy, Made in PRC July 16, 2008 The product fits the description on Amazon except for the manufacturing location. The fryer is actually made in PRC and designed in Italy.
