Amazon.com Review Enjoy grilled meats and vegetables year-round with the HealthSmart indoor grill--don't just wait for summer to enjoy pork steaks, jerk-rubbed chicken, and savory corn-on-the-cob. Its nonstick cooking surface rests on a sturdy plastic tray, which catches extra drippings and cuts down on fat consumption and hot sputtering grease. The tray also makes it easy to dispose of the drippings. Instead of worrying about unreliable charcoal, this grill lets a cook use the heat dial to control the food's temperature. In addition, since both parts of the grill can be put in the dishwasher, there will be no more arguing about who has to clean the sticky grill. --Dana Van Nest

Poor clean-up, subpar performance. Might as well use a grill pan November 19, 2008 Alright, for those that says clean up is a breeze, notice how most of those reviewers have a dishwasher. But for those folks without one, this item is by no means a "breeze" to clean. The item is simply too large to fit in a regular kitchen sink (or at least the one I have). So soaking it is out of the question. The nonstick coating does absolutely nothing. If you try to grill anything with a sauce or marinate, be prepared to spend hours trying to scrap off gunks congealed sauce residue. And because of the nonstick coating you cannot use a metal scrubber.
And if you think about it, Teflon doesn't recommend the use of their pans over high heat, for the teflon coating would melt and wear out. So why would anyone have a teflon coated grill, where the process of grilling probably necessitates the highest temperature out of all cooking methods?
I've learned to work around with it. Such as covering it with a disposable aluminum pan while it preheats so it heats up faster. And placing foil in the drip tray so clean up is easier. But the size and grate-cleaning problem persist.
Waste of Money! October 24, 2007 Don't waste your money. It took 45 minutes to cook 2 steaks, because it doesn't get hot enough (avg grill temperature was less than 300 degrees F).
Great grill but cleanup? January 13, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Have used the grill many times and it works great. Very little smoke. The challenge is cleaning the unit without ruining the grill. Foods have a tendency to stick and even with a sponge and much elbow grease it is very difficult to keep perfectly clean. I just used a portable steamer to clean it and that did the trick.
Worked great for a while but.... August 13, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I received this as a Christmas gift in '04. It worked wonderful! It cooked juicy chicken breasts and hamburgers. I only used it it 6 - 8 times and it stopped working!! The light turns on but it does not heat up anymore!

This grill is the best grill I ever had bar none. Forget gas Forget charcol!! The taste of the food will blow your mind. I cooked steaks chops burgers fish you nane it. Clean up is a snap. I cover the grating with foil and the bottom. When your done cooking throw the foil out and wipe down the grill. One day I would like to enter a barbeque contest and put this little baby up aganist those big 7 burner grills. I would win for the price this is the grill of the centry
