Cuisinart Cioffee Mill December 1, 2008 This Coffee Mill is an excellent product. It does its job as expected, as with all Cuisinart products. The large capacity is a bonus. Definitely a "buy it" recommendation.
The BEST November 27, 2008 This is the best Coffee Grinder we have ever had.
I'm surprised at all the bad reviews! We have always used a Krups, but I saw this at our local thrift shop for $8.00, and grabed it. I have never bought a used grinder but this was very clean.
This is quiet, it grinds the beans perfect. Never leaving any peices. Our other new Grinders have always been noisy, and hurt your ears, but not this one.
Even our Company has remarked how quiet it is.
I would buy another one anytime when this does not work any longer, or we just got lucky!!
stay away November 24, 2008 grinder #1 died the first time we used it to grind 12 cups worth of beans, returned it and received grinder #2 which worked for 11 batches of beans then died.....grinder #2 is in the trash and will avoid Cuisinart coffee related products.
Okay, won't buy again to replace burned out motor November 9, 2008 I've had this grinder for over 2 years. It's been okay, like many reviews, it does not grind small batches well at all, leaving large chunks of beans. After the 2+ years, I'm starting to smell burning rubber, so I'm guessing that motor is going to give up soon. I'll be moving on to a nice burr grinder as opposed to a blade grinder. I would not recommend this model.
Cuisinart....isn't going to be known for quality anymore November 1, 2008 The Cuisinart Grind Central Coffee Grinder is awful. It can't grind fine enough. It's noisy. The coffee grinds get all over the inside. We were better off with a boring but effective Braun.
The design makes the ground coffee go up the sides such that it moves away from the blades. Not all of the beans get ground evenly: some are the size of wood chips. Because the grind moves up the sides you have to clean much more when you're finished using it.
What's up Cuisinart? When did you throw out quality being your primary selling point? How can I put it.....? It's designed obsolescence. It really angers us that a company cares so little about meeting a customer need for a decent product at a good price. It exemplifies the post Reagan revolution version of America that we hope changes on November 4th. By the way, it will be the last time we buy Cuisinart.
