A brilliant innovation, this 1-cup measuring vessel is not round but oval. That means calibrations are printed on the cup's sides, as is conventional, as well as on a patented guide inside the cup that's angled so it can be read from above. The result is that this cup doesn't have to be held up--or bent down to--in order to determine how much liquid it contains. While Oxo guarantees satisfaction with a money-back guarantee, there's no reason to return this product. It's better than any other measuring cup.  Perfect measuring cups December 1, 2008
I was turned on to this product by watching "Good Eats with Alton Brown". The ability to measure by looking down on the cup versus having to put it on a level surface is GREAT! Highly recommended!
 Does not measure correctly!! November 28, 2008
I measured 1 cup with my pyrex measuring cup, then i poured it into the OXO cup and it measured less than 1 cup. It is very inaccurate and for baking we all know you need precise measurement. Bummed out because I bought 2. OH well.

As a frequent passenger on ships/boats, the Angled Measuring Cup is very useful in oceans near the equator where gravity affects the equilibrium of liquid/objects. I use this to cook with on passenger ships and it works very well. You can read the Measurments at any Angle. During storms it comes in handy.

When I have 2 of the same style of measuring cup..you would
KNOW that I love these measuring cups! Great 'look down' to
see how full the measuring cup is..no more picking it up to
look from the side and maybe spill some of the contents.
(Not me...no, I have never done that before!) Great addition
to a kitchen shower gift.

OXO Good Grips 1-Cup Angled Measuring Cup
Ok, so you know how when you use the traditional measuring cup, the measurement can be a little over or a little under dependent on how you look at it? Well, this solves the problem. Of course, I am not a professional chef by no means, but this is soooooooo easy to use.
