This Cuisinart coffeemaker is ideal for the coffee drinker who wants the flavor of cafe coffee at home. It all starts with the specialized Coffee Bar flavor system, which revolves around a dial on the top of the machine that allows you to set the number of cups to brew. The coffeemaker automatically regulates the right amount of water through the grounds. Just like that--a better cup of java. The rest of the machine is also topnotch, and is focused on providing better coffee in a user-friendly format. The features include a sturdy 10-cup carafe (with a specialized lid to keep oxygen out during brewing, thus preserving the flavor), a pause feature--which makes it possible to remove the carafe midbrew to pour a cup--a water window that shows how much water needs to be poured in for different amounts of coffee, and an easy-to-read instruction manual to get everything started.  Leaks out the bottom after 3 years November 12, 2008
The unit started to leak out the bottom after 3 years. I called Cuisinart and they said they had not heard of this problem before, though I see others have reported the same problem here.

If you're looking for an easy-to-use, simple coffee maker at a really good price, which also happens to make great coffee, look no further! This basic machine allows you to vary the brew strength not only based on the number of cups made, but also according to your own taste. I've seen a review that mentions spills, but the only way you can spill hot coffee while pouring is if you try to dump it all out at once! All things considered, this is truly an excellent product!

Cuisinart DCC-100 Coffee Bar Classic 10-Cup Coffeemaker, White We love the DCC-100! Dad needed a new coffeemaker because the old Braun one was piddling all over the counter! I searched for one with similar features: wedge-shaped filter and swing filter section. The DCC-100 has both! It's SIMPLE and fits on our small kitchen counter. He has used it everyday since it arrived a week ago, no problems to report.
