I've owned this one for 8 years now.... February 24, 2008 I requested a coffee grinder for my birthday in 2000 and received this model (which is listed 4 or 5 different times on Amazon).
The blades are sharp and have no problem grinding any quality bean. I've also used it to grind flax seeds beautifully, as well as almonds. My daughter dropped the clear plastic upper portion of the grinder in 2003 and a piece broke off, leaving a 'chip' in the plastic cup but we still continued to use it, just carefully pouring the coffee grounds out and avoiding that side.
The grounds, when ground fine (for espresso, etc.) do tend to congregate up around the tiny opening where the power button presses down to start the grind and if clogged, the button won't completely press down. However, in 8 years of owning this, I've only cleaned the tiny opening twice, which was as much work as using the tip of a knife to scribble back and forth and knock the grinds out. It took literally 2 seconds. And cleaning it twice in 8 years isn't bad.
The power cord wraps around the bottom which makes it look nicer on the counter. Overall a nice grinder.
We are looking for a new one now for two reasons; 1) it would be nice to have a grinder that doesn't have a broken cup (LOL) and 2. It's LOUD. About 6 years ago I regularly just learned to wrap a kitchen hand towel around it before pressing the button to muffle the sound and not wake the children in the early morning as I make coffee about an hour before they wake.
broke 5th time I used it December 10, 2007 Like a lot of others who posted reviews here, my grinder worked 4 times, and on the 5th just konked out. I didn't have the receipts, didn't register, etc., and the cost of shipping it would be about equal to the cost of the product.
So I took it apart to see what went wrong. It turns out the button depresses a thin plastic bar that turns on the motor. This piece of plastic is about 1.5mm thick, so no surprise it broke. I'd follow the advice of lots of other people here: drop an extra five or ten bucks for a reliable product.

I just thought I'd share my experience with this product. I purchased this grinder more than 12 years ago, and it still works as good as new. It's perfect. Before using grinders belonging to friends, I figured they were all pretty much the same. Not true. This one's simple, powerful, fast, and attractive. I'm about to buy a second one in black.
