| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Barista grade control for a variety of coffee grinds. The removable bean hopper holds 1/2 a pound of coffee beans. The motor drives the bottom burrs and the top plate is stationary. The distance you position them apart precisely determines grind size. The easy-to-read settings allow for grind choices from ultra-fine for Turkish coffee to large and coarse for percolators.

very even grinds, great fine grinds, minimal static charging November 16, 2008 I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this machine. There are modifications you can make to get a finer grind but the design must have been updated as it provides an extremely fine grind at the finest setting. The burs heat up and if you don't let it cool as per the instructions it will affect taste.
Just what I wanted November 11, 2008 This Grinder works great. The only real problem is it makes it to easy to make a second pot in the mornings. The timer has been more than long enough for a 12 pot coffee maker. Also, I have no problems with stray grounds from static electricity and the grounds pour out clean and mess free all the time. To qualify, I followed the initial cleaning instructions and I only go as far as the fine grind setting for drip coffee makers.
Great quality grinder, good looks too November 10, 2008 My husband and I are very pleased with this purchase. We both researched this product before buying and agreed upon the Breville. So far,no complaints. We use the coarse grind setting for French press and a finer grind for automatic drip coffee. We have not used it for expresso. It's very easy to use and quiet. I also like the looks of it since it matches our coffee maker too.
Breville Grinder November 9, 2008 Delighted with my choice, Quiet easy operation. Perfect selection of grind size. Elegant on our counter top.
Good grinder, but not perfect. November 9, 2008 I considered the Capresso and the Breville and decided to get the Breville because it took up less counter space, though it was slightly more expensive. It does a great job grinding coffee beans and the fineness of the grind is adjustable, so overall I am happy. It also is a nice looking piece of kitchen equipment.
The flaw is that the container into which the ground coffee falls is made of a plastic from which the grind does not release easily. I don't know if it is static or something else, but I find myself tapping the container to try to get the coffee out, and I never get it all. There must be some material that could have been used that would have worked better. Also, this container does seem a bit flimsy, and I'm careful not to drop it, because it looks as if it might break easily.
