Whirlpool dryer: Nine repairmen and it still will not function properly! July 30, 2008

We purchased this dryer 10 months ago. 9 repairmen and countless phone calls later we are still dealing with a defective dryer. (It will not close properly and will open in the middle of a cycle.) That's nine times we have taken off work! We have now entered into the realm of the absurd.
Whirlpool claims "there are no known problems with this dryer" and there is nothing they can do which, when you think about it, is the equivalent of calling us liars. Do they think we are doing this for fun? A&E (repair service) keeps ordering more parts and trying to fix it. Last thing they told us was to "just slam the door really hard..." I have photos of the dryer with all the parts that we have taken delivery of strewn in front. At this point they have even replaced the entire front end of the dryer. I would never buy a Whirlpool product again! Take heed! Your money AND time are at stake.
