 it leaves the same taste November 18, 2008
This filter did not completely alter the taste of the water from the refrigerator, but it did make it a little better. Not bad I guess.
Seems to work as described October 13, 2008
I've never really cared if I had filtered water. Tap water was just fine with me. I got a deal on the refrigerator that happened to have the filtered water dispenser. I can taste a slight difference between that and my tap water. However, the old filter I took out looked a little grey instead of white like the new one. So it's obviously filtering something out of the water.

Pure Source Ice and Water Filter September 23, 2008
The Pure Source filter fits correctly and seems to be doing a good job of filtering. The cost about 60% of the price of the original manufacturer filter price that came with our refrigerator.

Great filter replacement for my refrigerator. The water is tasting great again and the price was the lowest I have seen for this particular model.
