| Customer Reviews: Good bread pan July 21, 2010 Anne-Marie (California, USA) This is a good pan to work with in the Zojirushi Bread machine. I bake bread every single day and have to replace my bread pan about every year to 18 months. The paddles I replace about twice a year. In my opinion that is good enough although it would be nice if they lasted longer of course.
Things that will influence how long your pan and paddles will last is how rough the dough is (the more seeds or nuts you put in, the more the non-stick layer will be damaged during the kneading process) and how sturdy you make your dough (if the machine has trouble moving the dough around you probably don't have enough water or other fluid in it which is harder on the motor, as well as the paddles).
After extended use the non-stick layer will disappear in places and then the bread will stick to it and be harder to get out of the pan after baking. The same goes for the paddles. With some good care instructions that other people have mentioned as well you can make them last however. Let the pan cool completely before you clean it and don't use soap on it. I use just clean warm water and a gentle brush. No sharp objects either. I think of it as if it were a Tefal or Calphalon baking pan, when the non-stick layer goes away it's time to replace.
Second Pan will kill the yeast May 19, 2010 R. gee (S.C. USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If the breadmaker is not COMPLETELY cool, it will kill the yeast in the pan and the loaf will fail. So having a second pan is convenient in that you can mix two loaves at one time, but cooling time between loaves is critical to success. REALLY good breadmaker!
Zojirushi replacement bread pan May 10, 2010 Richard J. Brown (Edmonton, Canada) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This replacement pan is of excellent quality and makes beautiful bread loaves.
Be sure to wash off the thin veneer of manufacturing oil with soapy water before using.
As others have mentioned, NEVER put cold water in the bread pan while it is still hot after baking. This will warp the base of the pan and cause the beaters to scrape the non-stick coating off in a circular pattern. ALWAYS let it stand to cool before washing it out.
This is a great product and with minor attention to details (and recipe refining) it consistently makes perfect loaves every time.

Warning if purchase March 8, 2010 Kelly Marie 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is an excellent bread machine, I have been very happy with machine....however I had to order a replacement pan due to metal exposure and scraping that happened in blade areas. If you purchase this machine DO NOT wash or fill pan with hot water immediately after removing bread....it causes protective pan liner to flake off. I now wait until pan cools before I soak it in hot water to clean.
Good pan February 3, 2010 Shelly (California) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this as a spare pan so I could have one pan in the machine and one pan ready for the next loaf when the first one was done. I'm very happy with both the pan and the machine. The pan cleans quickly and easily, and the bread releases without difficulty. Well worth the money.
