pot is about 9 3/4 in dia, and 4" deep.the induction-compatible base is about 3/16" thick and about 8 1/2 dia on bottom surface.3 quarts of water leaves about 1 3/8" to top of rim.the mirrored stainless steel lid is interchangeable with the lid of my Viking 5 1/2 qt sauce pot. 2 quarts of water takes about 14 min to rolling boil using my portable GE (walmart) induction cooker.great value.
