Used this sandwich maker a couple of times and are reasonably happy with it. It makes two sandwiches at the same time (of course you can choose to do only one). Just plug it into the wall, while it's warming up(takes a few minutes), you can prepare the content of your sandwich. When it's ready, just put the sandwich in there and close the lid. It takes about 3-5 minutes after you close the lid.
We made chicken salad sandwich and it turns out to be great! When it comes out, nicely toasted and hot inside, you can easily tear them into two and just enjoy! Believe me, it tastes so much better than a cold sandwich! And it is so easy to use!

THIS PRODUCT WAS A BIG HIT AT HOME & OFFICE. IT WAS A GREAT HOT SANDWICH MAKER OF MANY KINDS. IT WAS GOOD FOR SIMPLE TO INTRICATE SANDWICHES. IT WAS A PERFECT PRESS. I ONLY WISH IT WAS BIGGER SO I COULD MAKE MORE THAN 1 SANDWICH AT A TIME. THE COLOR MAKES THE ITEM STICK OUT SO YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS. I WOULD PREFER A LIGHTER OR CHROME COLOR, BUT THE ITEM WORKS WELL, S0 WHO CARES ABOUT COLOR !

The one STAR is only because the color looks cool. Apart from that, my experience was not good.
When I received the same, the following were missing:
a. panini press
b. Variable temperature control
c. Grill press handle
d. pull out drip tray
Doesn't it make this one a pure sandwich maker that you can get for @ $10.00 in any of the local stores?
I would advise the Amazon team to update the specifications and not confuse the buyer by setting the wrong expectations.

We bought this sandwich maker because it looked great and all our kitchen appliances were basically red. Besides, a sandwich maker is a sandwich maker, right? Well, not so. This sandwich maker, while amazingly god-looking, it does not perform great as a sandwich maker. It's grilling is uneven at best. When the "ready" light indicator turns on, the reality is that the bread is not grilled around the edges and too grilled (almost burned) on the center. Not happy with the purchase, but after used we decided not to return it.
