Product Description What is a better way to dry food than with a Food Dehydrator! The automatic fan circulates air to produce the best quality of dried product without the problems of bad weather, unsanitary conditions or constant watching. It dries food evenly and effectively. Features two fruit roll-up trays and an herb drying tray. Dehydrating is the least time-consuming of all food preservation methods. Dehydrating is an inexpensive great way to use extensive produce during peak season and there is no energy cost for storing properly dried goods. What a waste of money! November 29, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Okay, I thought I would save some cash and buy this dehydrator over a different brand that was more expensive. One side of the tray will dehydrate much faster that the other so you have to keep checking it and rotate the tray every now and then to regulate the air flow. Try checking it every couple hours when you're drying something that takes about 16-20 hours! I thought that was the most annoying thing that could happen, but it got better! Apperantly the side that dehydrates really fast is also MELTING the plastic tray! If I mention the other brand this is going to sound like I'm trying to increase sales for the other guys, but I'm not so just do the research and get a better (yes, probably more expensive) dehydrator that will work properly!
Don't waste your money October 10, 2005 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I used this one time and it stopped working. The one time that I did use it, it took forever (3 days) to dry hot peppers which I had quartered. I'm sure it probably burnt out.
I'll probably get another one with a little more power - probably starting at 1000 Watts. I advise you do the same.
