I was mainly looking for a right size rice cooker which will not only serve our family of 4 (Dad/Mom and 2 kids) daily, but would also be sufficient for 3-4 additional guests as occasionally required. Panasonic SR-G104-450 5-1/2-Cup (uncooked rice) is right for the purpose. Cooks rice evenly with no mess. The only improvement I think Panasonic would have done was to keep the "Warm" indicator light (once the rice is done) Green or some other distinctive color. The "Cook" indicator light is Red, and "Warm" indicator light is Orange, therefore very confusing to distinguish between the two to know if rice is done. Good product overall.

Our first rice cooker (as far as I know) this turned out to be the right product for our needs. It is small in footprint and simple in operation, but it makes great rice in the style of oriental restaurants. Be aware that it does not come with a steaming rack (maybe too small to be useful?) and you can not purchase (at this time anyway) another basket separately if you damage the one that comes with the cooker. The price is right and the product performs exactly as promised.
