Great microwave November 22, 2008 This is the perfect medium-size microwace. It has buttons for defrost, popcorn, melt, soften, warm and reheat. It is simple and easy to use. It is not too small and not too big and fits nicely in the space in my kitchen.
Does what it's suppose to November 22, 2008 I needed to replace my GE Overrange Microwave (which magnatron broke after only three yrs) and decided with so many bad reviews of the more expensive brands to go ahead and try the Sharp R-305KS. So far, so good! It fits my countertop and looks really nice. I find it easy to use. The only thing in comparison to the GE model is that it takes a little longer to cook food thoroughly and sometimes there are uneven areas (but I haven't used a microwave that cooks food perfectly even anyway). As long as this microwave outlasts my GE (which now serves as a breadbox) I'll be happy. I'll be happier anyway just because I didn't have to spend a fortune on this one!
Junk me two times... November 15, 2008 The first one from amazon, the door would not open. The internal opening mechenisim was broken. Sent it back to amazon, what a pain. Got a new one. It worked for a week, but not well. Weak power, strange noises. Then just stopped working. Too late to return to amazon. Must find a repair place, none very local. Don't buy things like this from amazon, buy from a local dept. store with a good return policy. Also, stay away from sharp. the old ones were great, new stuff is not...
arrived damaged but great after my husband fixed it November 4, 2008 i haven't used it quite long enough to offer a very knowledgeable review but it seems great for the price. the different types of heating (melting, reheat, cook, def, etc) is great, it looks nice and it wasn't too expensive. it arrived with the door broken (it wouldn't open when button pushed) which was super annoying - but my husband fixed it and it seems fine.
Decent machine October 31, 2008 We use this in an office kitchen setting. It is a very good microwave for the price. Ours is on a shelf inside the cabinets so having a door latch that you push instead of pull makes for a good shelf fit.
