Isn't it fun to go to Mongolian grills and watch them prepare stir-fry right in front of you ? Now you can provide your guests with that same excitement with this 1,500-watt electric wok. Simply put it on your table, let the guests chose their favorite vegetables, meats, and tofu, and then get the dinner party livened up with some quick wokking right there on the spot. Although the handles and base are heat-resistant, you'll probably want to set the wok on a cutting board to protect your tabletop. The adjustable temperature settings give precise control over cooking--select a high temperature for lightning-quick stir fries or the lower "warm" setting for serving. The wok features a support ledge for warming while stir-frying, and the nonstick interior is just right for cooking veggies and meats with less oil. I'm really enjoying this wok! In the past I've had non-electric woks but decided to try an electric one (based on other reviews). I like the even heating and being able to set the exact temperature. Cleaning was easy, too.

I just received my delivery of the wok and it came in the box that one would find it in if you had purchased it from a department store -- no additional packaging. It was bashed in on two sides and when I opened the box, one handle was broken off and the wok itself was dented. Obviously, I can't rate the cooking capabilities, but I would advise all to not order this wok if it comes from Home and Beyond. I have contacted customer service and although the packaging slip claims their hours are from 9 am to 6 pm and I called before 5 pm, they were closed for the day and the best I could do was leave a message.

Got my original West Bend Electric Wok (6 qt.) for a wedding gift in 1985 ...used it up until 2008 ... the coating started to crack on the bottom of the wok. Decided to order a new one ... have used it many times so far and it's still AS GOOD as the original one!! Good job, West Bend!
Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to adjust the temperature - now a deeper wok bowl - like that better ... not as much stuff comes out when tossing food ...
I would recommend this to anyone.

This is a great wok at a great price! We had a smaller wok, but we always ended up with rice on the countertops that would slop over the side. This 6-quart wok has plenty of room and spillage is no longer a problem! It also cooks evenly, is easy to clean, and it's even nicer looking than it appears in the picture (e.g. high quality). When we were looking for a larger wok, we found a couple other possibilities, but they were a lot more expensive than this one. I would highly recommend this wok, especially if you have 3 or more people in your family to cook for!
