Some purist cooks claim to have an instinctive inner timer, but most people need a little help remembering when to take the roast out or punch down the bread dough for its second rise. The Presto four-in-one Electronic Clock/Timer fulfills that basic function, but it doesn't stop there. When not in use as a timer, the time and date--month, day, year, and day of the week--are displayed. There's also a stopwatch function that's useful in many ways, and not necessarily only in the kitchen. The easy-to-read display is helpful when there's kitchen work going on; that way it can hang up out of the way and stay clean. A loud tone sounds when the time is up; and the memory function stores up to three countdown times for reuse. The versatile clip can also become an easel stand, and it has a magnet, too--it's good to go wherever it's needed. The Presto electronic Clock/Timer operates on one AAA battery (one battery is included.) The Clock/Timer is not immersible; it can be carefully wiped clean with a slightly damp rag.  Versatile timer October 28, 2008
Having valued Presto timers in the past, ordered this one and am totally satisfied. Provides multiple functions, is easy to use, and has convenient shape for carrying in pocket. My primary use is for timing medications. Actually, ordered two as this is such good price.

I needed a new kitchen timer and was looking for a multi-channel timer. I work in a laboratory and we use timers for some testing, and the scientific companies sell timers that you can use to time up to four tests at a time. This timer is perfect! Sturdy construction, reasonable price and easy to operate. I heartily recommend it.

When this chromed up little beauty arrived, and very quickly I might add, it allowed me to time things in ways I had never dreamt of. My next conquest is space.
timer is hard to work July 24, 2008
bought three of these to use in a training and i think the fact that it was inexpensive is the key to the problems.
it's just hard to work! the key pads are small and one of the three has already gone kaput. sigh.
sometimes it's not a good thing to buy something site unseen.
Versatile and very useful July 19, 2008
This is the best and most versatile timer I have seen. The four timers - three with memory - are ideal for simultaneously timing medicine, food, meditation, etc. Highly recommended.
