| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Never again be frustrated by the too-small slots in a regular toaster. Hamilton Beach Digital 2 Slice Toaster has 2 extra-wide slots that hold any size bread or bagel. Just set the easy-to-read adjuster so your bagel won't be burned. If you see it start to burn, you can always press the cancel button. With its breakthrough bagel technology, it toasts the cut side of a bagel while gently warming the other. And there's also a defrost button in case your bagel just came from the freezer. Its smudge-proof brushed-metal exterior and slide-out crumb tray makes this toaster easy to clean. So have perfect bagels every time with this toaster.
Two 1.5 Extra-wide slots Auto Toast Boost - Automatically raises bread to highest position for easy removal Manufacturer's 1-year limited warranty

So far so good... October 28, 2008 The review above this is correct. My office just got 2 of these toasters and they stay warm on the front all of the time, even when they have not been used to toast. They still work however it has only been 2 weeks. I am guessing whatever is generating that heat will cause it to fail soon though. I love the digital display however I am hesitant to buy one for my home if it generates heat. Heat = energy so I wonder how much power it pulls when it isn't even running.
toaster stopped working September 25, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Unit has a way too bright front blue light display and no way to dim it. The display even generates a small amount of constant heat on the front. Then after a few months of normal use toaster abruptly stopped working. I suspect the extremely bright display burned out thus affected the electronics.
