Better than expected November 18, 2008

Excellent Toaster November 13, 2008
This toaster is an excellent product, especially for the price. It has a number of very handy features:
- Nice wide slots for bagels, and a bagel setting that presumably lowers the heat to prevent burning of the bagel while heating it through.
- The levers that lower the bread down into the toaster also can be lifted up to bring the toast up above the toaster surface - prevents the need to go digging for toast with fingers next to hot (not to meniton electrified) metal parts.
- Has a re-warm function.
- Easy to clean.
In short, this toaster was a solid purchase.
 Does NOT have bagel setting October 14, 2008

This toaster does NOT have a setting for toasting bagels or English muffins on one side. It advertises a bagel setting, and it has a button labeled "Bagel," but this setting has nothing to do with toasting bagels. It just increases toasting time, and still toasts both sides. That is NOT what anyone else calls a bagel setting.
Also, the backlit toast numbers are impossible to read when you're standing up. You have to stoop down to countertop level to see them through the hole in the case. Did anyone who worked on the design of this toaster actually use it in a real kitchen? If I weren't returning it for the defective bagel setting, I'd be returning it for that design feature alone.
Great toaster October 2, 2008
We bought this toaster several years ago and really liked it. So, when it came time to buy one for my dad as a gift, this is the one we bought. Simple to use, nice features.
Toaster with pull out crumb tray September 30, 2008
Nice, compact size toaster. The best thing is the pull out crumb tray. It's easy to clean and that is why I ordered it. You don't have to turn it upside down like some toasters and the crumbs go flying all over the place.
