You get what you pay for October 2, 2008 Bought this for the office about 5 months ago, only gets used about twice a week at most. The bake setting suddenly stopped working, you set the temperature and timer and nothing happens. Only the toast settings work...but who knows how long that will last. I'm shopping for a new toaster oven now.
Average quality October 1, 2008 Bought this model 5 months ago and it's toast function has stopped working
Pros: Has enough room to fit in 4 pieces of bread, looks small and nice. Cons: Does not toast evenly, broke too soon.
Even to get a replacement under warranty, I need to spend the shipping cost. Wondering if it is worth my effort to get a replacement (someone please suggest a better Black and Decker model that I can upgrade to !!! )
Black & Decker Toaster Oven September 15, 2008 This toaster has one main and annoying problem that could have been so easily corrected at the factory. It toasts unevenly (referring to top and bottom sides of the bread). This would have been so easy to correct, simply by slightly changing the location of the groove that the tray rests in. I would have thought they would have tested this before producing millions of them. Another problem is there is a brushed aluminum trim panel on the top of the toaster that got scratched simply by placing a pan on it.
Don't Buy This Toaster Oven! August 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this toaster oven recently at Macy's, and had to return it. My bread never got toasted unless it went through two whole cycles. There is no real broiler pan, just the baking pan and the wire rack used for the toast. It looks nice on the counter, and is a good size for small counter-tops, but it does not work well at all. The broiler also took forever to heat something up. It is on sale everywhere; you get what you pay for! It is the worst toaster oven I have ever had. I exchanged it for a DeLonghi, which was a bit more expensive, but works great!!!! What a difference! The DeLonghi does come with a real broiler pan, and is made much better with more watts as well. It is also digital, which some people might prefer.
disappointed!!!!!!!!!!! August 14, 2008 I bought this so I can make my daughter her chicken fingers quicker an healthier than deep frying. well i had it only a month now an when you close the door to turn it it doesnt turn on. you have to hold the door shut an hope for the best. i hate it an they should replace it.
