5 out of 5 stars A Great Toaster Oven   November 22, 2008
This is a beautiful little toaster oven and it works really well for me. It has a lot of space and it's beautiful in the kitchen, I just love the way it looks. It hasn't shown any wear or tear on the inside so far and my food comes out just as it should. This is a very good quality product.

5 out of 5 stars Great oven !   November 14, 2008

I love this toaster oven. I'm sinlge and always thought it was silly ot heat up the huge oven just to cook something small for myself. Since I got this toaster oven, I haven't used my regular oven. I imagine that I must be saving energy. Also, in the summer, my who apartment doesn't heat up just to bake a pizza.

The controls are simple and easy to use. I'm glad I didn't choose one with digital controls--manual is faster and easier.

The oven heats up fairly quickly and cooks evenly due to the convection fan. Toasting is quick and even.

The oven is large and thanks to the rounded shape will accommodate a large frozen pizza.

Comes with a baking pan and a broiling insert.

I would recommend it to friends and family.

3 out of 5 stars Have had this for three years   November 9, 2008
I purchased this toaster oven in red three years ago. It has been dependable, it looks great, and it doesn't take up much counter space. After three years, however, toast does not brown evenly; I have to manually flip the bread to be sure it toasts well. That isn't much of a problem though -- a small price to pay considering all the problems I have had with standard toasters. However, as with all electric appliances, WATCH CAREFULLY! While I was baking a pizza the toaster oven became VERY HOT and burned a section of the formica cabinet top. If I hadn't noticed the smell of burning plastic, I might not have realized what was happening and I could have had a fire. Now I limit the use of this oven to toast and warming.

3 out of 5 stars Pretty good buy   October 31, 2008
This is my first toaster oven. It's prettier than my friends', and it's a good size. I haven't toasted bread but I did make a turkeyloaf and it came out decent. I got this toaster oven because I have a kitchenette which I hate and I have no oven. This toaster oven will have to do until I move into a bigger apartment. As far as how hot it gets or the noise, neither are a problem. Just don't touch the oven when there's food cooking, then it shouldn't be a problem. The noise is just little tic-ticking and it's very easy to tune out.

5 out of 5 stars Thanks to all the negative reviewers   October 26, 2008

Love my Oster stainless steel convection/toaster oven! As a long-time user of "toaster ovens" for baking and general cooking. I find this good-looking unit to be the best I've ever used. Plus, the rounded back means my cast iron skillet fits in, handle and all, for dishes like Southern Hot Skillet Corn Bread or Egg Frittata.

Unlike the supposed experiences of some of the nit-picking whiners here (many who show they know little about cooking), it's been excellent for all around baking, broiling and toasting.

Addressing some of the specific complaints: my door closes perfectly...I like the tick-tick of the timer and the fact that the oven automatically turns itself off...and my convection fan is VERY quiet.
I also see several complaints that the three dial system is too confusing and takes too long to set. Since it takes me all of 2 or 3 seconds to set them, I have to think these whiners would be better off with a child's "Easy-Bake" toy oven.

By the way, I picked mine up at a tag sale for $7. Like some other whiners here, the wife didn't like the hot top surface (which makes a great plate-warmer) and she refused to use the unit, so it's in absolutely brand-new condition. Since there was no tray, I can't address the complaint that it's flimsy. I use the tray from my old toaster oven, as could others, I suppose.

Finally, with all the whining I bet there have been lots of bargains just like mine, so I'd like to express thanks on behalf of all of us. ;^>
