Great product. Great price. June 4, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We bought this micro as part of a kitchen remodel and needed style and function on the cheap. This unit is functional if not slightly utilitarian but it has never failed us once in the 2 years we've owned it (we have twin boys and abuse this thing!). It survived multiple power outages during an ice storm last year and did just fine. Very happy with product for such a low price ($100).
Worked 4 Days! May 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this item for fairly good price from Loews 99.99. Initially work well but stopped heating items after only 4 Days! Loews took it back for a full refund since I was not interested in another of the same model. Truly poor quality.
It Shorted an Electrical Circuit November 10, 2007 8 out of 20 found this review helpful
I bought the JES1142 about a year ago which seems very similar to this model. Its a 1.1 cubic feet and 1100 watts.
Yesterday, it stopped working and appears to have shorted a circuit with GFI protection. Restarting the circuit breaker does nothing, other appliances don't operate now on that circuit and the microwave does not work when changed to another circuit.
So, with about $300 for replacing the circuit -- be careful about trying to save money with GE. The annual payment is a killer :)
