Product Description MODEL- NNC994S VENDOR- PANASONIC FEATURES- 1.5 cu ft Microwave- Stainless Panasonic has succeeded in evolving Turbo Defrost, which allows you to defrost foods even faster than previous Panasonic Auto Defrost. Panasonic Inverter Turbo Defrost technology is an advanced microwave sequencing system using the Inverter low-power delivery feature. It was developed on the basis of what scientists call "Chaos Theory." This design makes it possible to distribute microwave energy with the most appropriate combination of regularity and irregularity. The Stainless Fingerprint Resistant finish on the front of our Genius Prestige Microwave Ovens helps reduce the amount of unsightly smudging normally found on stainless appliances. So your microwave will look its best even when you are preparing some of your messiest recipes. With one touch of a single key, the Genius Sensor adjusts power levels and calculates cooking time automatically for various foods. The button panel makes selecting your desired settings a simple task. With three-speed operation, high, low, and turbo, this fan is powerful enough to remove unwanted food odors from your kitchen, without the annoyance of excessive noise. The Turbo Fan setting, at an extremely fast speed of 300 CFM will refresh the air in your kitchen quickly. A pulsing delivery of very low microwave power keeps food temperature at a constant level-without overcooking. Our improved keep warm menu now includes five items. So, food like stew, gravy and desserts remain warm in the oven until you are ready to serve. When in use, fan louvers open up. W

Preaching to the Converted December 5, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have to admit that I was not in love with the idea of a Panasonic product, having had the misfortune to purchase a TV and DVD that both went belly up within a relatively short priod of time - just out of warranty. Anyway, I was replacing my Sharp Carousel Convection as the mica plate had blown twice and it was not economical to keep replacing it. So with much reluctance, I took a punt on the Panasonic. Frankly, it is fantastic. It is whisper quiet, cooks extremely well - recipe prompting actually works and the Grill is sensational. Would I buy it again? You bet. I am now completely converted and trying new recipes with confidence.
Somewhat disappointing November 23, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a large, powerful convection microwave with lots of features. In general, it has worked well. However, when we got ours a wheel on the roller ring that goes under the turntable had been broken in shipment. My wife had to make several phone calls to Panasonic customer service to convince them to send us another one. It took nearly 2 weeks for them to get it to us. Meanwhile, I was able to glue the wheel back on the ring so we were able to use it. Also the door hinges are very stiff -- I looked for more shipping damage in this area but didn't see any, so maybe it just is made that way -- a bit disappointing for a microwave that costs this much. Be prepared to spend some time with the manual to learn how to use this device. It's loaded with features, so is a bit complex. I will say that, assuming you have some idea of how to perform some particular operation, the system of lights does a pretty good job of leading you through the set of buttons and knobs you need to use. My wife tells me there's a way to time things to the nearest second, but I haven't figured it out yet -- the time dial seems to only time things in 10-second increments. Once again, seems like an odd omission for a device this expensive. Personally, I would have been OK with a much cheaper and simpler microwave, but my wife wanted a large convection microwave, and she is happy with it.
Panasonic NN-C994S - Wonderful! September 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this machine! So easy to use & looks FANTASTIC. Find I have to do a bit extra on the defrost tho, doesnt do it all the way thru on auto setting (which is - press auto def button, dial weight, Start), but almost. Doesnt cook the edges whilst defrosting which is very good. Baked a sponge cake at high altitude (7000feet) which can be very difficult & turned out great. Easy wipe facia, sturdy, well built. LOVE it!
A great microwave March 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have been using this microwave for 5 months. It's a great product. I would wholeheartedly recommend this without reservation to anyone looking for a highend microwave. This is also a convection which is handy.
Panasonic Convection/Microwave Oven January 20, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This oven is very stylish in design, would fit into most any style kitchen. It microwaves wonderfully and we love the sensor heat feature. I would have preferred to have digital number input capabilities rather than a knob that you turn to input cooking times, etc. This oven is easy to clean and cooks nicely. Would recommend this oven.
