Awesome Juicer, but could be improved November 1, 2008
I love this juicer.
I can't say enough about it.
Pros:
Easy to use
Quick to assemble and disassemble
Easy to clean
Efficient
Well made
Cons:
Too much plastic, the receiving vessel should be made of glass, in mine it seems that the combination of vegetable juices has actually corroded it, I don't want plastic in my juice. There should be more metal inside the unit. basically the unit should be made of heavy glass and metal, not plastic. Unfortunately due to the special shape of the receiving vessel there's little chance of substituting your own container for the provided one.
Some veggies are hard to juice without helper vegetables. For example celery tends to sit at the end of the auger and spin in place instead of being forced in to the juicer, so you must use something hard like a carrot to force it through. This is a problem because most hard veggies are packed with sugar, something I don't want to make up much of my juice. That is just one example, you will get used to it after a while but it's still a bit of a pain.
Overall this is one of the best juicers out there. Way more efficient than a centrifugal, wayyy cheaper than a comparably efficient powered auger type. With a few changes to design it would be the best manual juicer I've ever seen, actually it already is!

I am totally enamored by this juicer.For such a cheap price the product and function is amazing.There is something ineffable about this juicer which forces me to grow my own wheat grass and extract the juice.The juicer extracts every single drop of juice from the wheat grass.Anyone who wants to buy a wheat grass juicer I would suggest buying this instead of a fancy and an expensive one.Even though it is manual but all the work is worth it.

I prefer the manual powered juicer because I do a lot of camping. This one is tough and easy to clean and I did not need to rob a bank to afford it. Thanks it does a great job.

My kids and I love this juicer. It's very high quality, and super easy to clean. It's also kid friendly. They love turning the handle and watching the juice come out. The base holds strong, so much that we don't need the clamp. We juiced our garden lettuce and greens with ease.
